The pre-match promo video showed Hiromu on all fours in a bath tub with his bare ass up in the air and on display and now this is happening and I am thinking pro-wrestling may have gotten a lot more gay

So my favorite match each year is The Great Space War run around xmas by the Great Sasuke and his friends. I always look forward to finally getting to see what utterly insane barrel-related shenanigans they get into.
The video got put up a few days ago and apparently the stream was a disaster and the video jumps around so much that it makes the match borderline unwatchable. Apparently there was a replay a few days after the fact that streamed in good quality, but it is rare that someone rips and posts a second copy of a match once the original is put up.
I am hoping that if this post gets enough blood potions the holiday can be saved and a better copy of the match will become available >_>

I stopped a few minutes in and will revisit in a few weeks if no better option becomes available but manā¦ why did it have to be this of all matches?

watching new japan tonight just for the liger match
Havenāt cried yet and proud of myself for suppressing my emotions but I did briefly scramble to see how much it would cost to fly to Japan in time to see Ligerās final match. Glad I kept control even though I know Iāll probably spend a few days doing some real sad daydreaming about actually being there live.

Anyone know a good stream for the rumble tonight? I live in canada and canāt get the network without cable and my wwe stream reddit source doesnāt exist anymore

I canāt vouch for the safety of that site but it does have wrestling.
brock destroying everyone was fantastic and a much better use of rumble time than guys taking turns stomping each other in the corner
all these stardom retirements are making me cry while watching wrestling too much.

Manabu Nakanishi had his retirement match today. He was never the best wrestler in the world, hell many would argue he was rarely a particularly good one (those people are WRONG), but I always liked the big lug. He rarely did anything fancy, heād just chop your chest to hell, slap the the hell out of you, stick you in the IRON CLAW~ and generally torture rack you along the way. The torture rack being one of his key moves is a funny thing in that he probably has a number of similarities to Lex Luger as the guy many people thought little of despite putting in over a decade of solid work before physically breaking down.
The thing with Nakanishi for most of his career is that he was basically stuck in the role as a fairly successful disappointment. What I mean is that while a key player for a number of years he was never put in the position to be champion, more or less the guy who could never win the big one. Think about all the great sportsmen who never won the big game and you get the rough idea.
At least, that was who he was for much of his career. Just over a decade ago a New Japan tour got thrown into chaos when a number of visiting Mexican luchadors couldnāt make it over due to I believe the bird flu, so to make it up to the fans the ace of the company Tanahashi decided to defend the belt a few days after his scheduled defense for the tour. Nakanishi was given the surprise challenge and I guess as a thank you to the fans who still showed up to the show, and to Nakanishi for his years of service in the company, he was allowed to pull off the surprise win and get the brief run with the belt he seemed destined to never have.
Much of the past decade of his career has been ālostā. Early last decade he suffered a fairly significant neck injury that should have ended his career and kept him out of action for more than a year, he managed to return from it but had lost several steps (plus by this point he was in his 40s). Still he had that one moment where he got to be king, and while there will always be something in seeing a great like a Tanahashi hold the belt for many years I generally get more of a kick out of the not so great who gets that one moment that is special to him and to those who always pulled for him. Other IWGP title matches got all the stars and the accolades, but Nakanishiās surprise winā¦ Iād take it over all of them.

I loved this.
I was also drawing a character inspired by Lex Luger literally seconds before I read this post, damn.
I re-watched much of Nitro-era WCW a few years ago and Luger was way more fun than Iād remembered. Iām sorry I made fun of my mom for thinking he was sexy.
I mean, I donāt think heās sexy but I can see why moms might be attracted to him.
