added a special animation and physics for getting a home run in baseball
made some new sokoban puzzles
fixed some issues with the animations for when a raven sacrifices their dice
made it so the wrestling passive properly makes cassowarys invincible through their first turn
And I realize that actually we’re making good progress to our goals which have simply long since become untethered from reality
this was my second thought but my first was recalling when i went to a witchy shop with my favourite not-yet-ex and their bestie and i saw a candle that said “this embodies all four elements (earth = wax, water = molten wax, fire = fire, air = smoke)” which like… maybe “elements” really just means “states of matter” idk

anyway things are going well. jacob found a bug where being in love made you more vulnerable to toxic waste. i wrote a lot of dialogue that may or may not be any good. it seems like we’ll be starting on the final area this week, which is a little misleading about how close we are to being done but is pretty exciting anyway
I couldnt understand why toxic waste kept hurting one of my birds more than it should during a playtest, the damage formula was set to a fixed number, then haley suggested… could it be love? it immediately made sense
Playtesting went well yesterday. Kali ran into a bug where he got hit by a truck and his insurance healed the truck instead of him. Apparently this always happens if you’re enraged.

the twenty unique collectible business cards i crafted were not enough. the people love BIRDCOM.BIZ too much… honestly i sort of imagined that nobody exchanged these things anymore because i don’t go outside, but the dumb bit i was going for almost seemed normal. embarrassing that even at the tiny Anarchist Event i felt myself tf into my own business-sona but at least people laughed. igf should’ve given us gdc passes so i could wander the convention hall in a little jester’s outfit
