Pokémon Legends: Each and Every Pokémon is Able to Shrink Itself Down to Miniscule Size!

God that dude is so funny. I found him amusing before but once it was revealed that he was the bad guy I lost my shit. He gets so evil in the blink of an eye, just INSTANTLY his eyes go from “edgy funny dude” to “maniacal evil anime boy,” and his outfit is super hilarious. I love that the ancient people of Hisui were straight up just greek dudes walking around in chitons or something. Amazing.

What he did apparently is he was contacted by Giratina, which it’s implied either wanted to protect or champion the earth or somehow return the people of Hisui to greatness after being abandoned by Aceus? I may be reading between the lines too aggressively here. Anyway, Volo apparently “returned power to Giratina” somehow and after powering him up, Giratina caused all the space time rifts to open, which enraged Dialgia and Palkia. Arceus then chose you the protagonist to get sucked through one of these space time rifts somehow in order to stop Volo.

My theory on the outfit is I guess that Giratina told the bad guy what Arceus’s head looked like and the bad guy was like “fantastic. I will cut my hair to match it. Giratina, do you have any photos I can take to my stylist”

Genuinely funny to me that they hid this stuff behind like 10 hours of post credits story quest. The vast majority of players are probably going to never get there, so the CORE MYSTERY OF THE GAME (why am I here? will I ever get home?) is fully unanswered to them. Can’t decide whether this counts as “having guts” or not from a story perspective, hahaha.

I love everything about the new announced game except for the dead eyed expressions of the player characters… the time traveling (I assume) professors being one asshole-lookin tron contestant and one cavewoman is straight up genius, I love it

After coming off Legends though it’s hard to go back to this extremely mass market cartoony smooth slick look… I am really gonna miss the art in Legends. I think it’s genuinely good. The nighttime skies in Legends have more of a unique point of view than almost anything this company has put out in the last few years haha

I hope the new game lets you run around like an asshole during battles and get in the way of attacks. It was by far the most entertaining and my favorite new feature from PLA. Going back to BDSP to complete it, battles are so boring and goddamn slow in comparison.

Like do I really need to see the enemy slide in, roar, have my trainer throw a ball, see my mon pop up, see it roar, have it bounce around in happiness, then finally a command prompt pop up? It takes like a goddamn minute before I can press a button. Why did they keep the battle presentation speed at the same rate or slower than a DS game from 2006??? Even Platinum sped the battles up in comparison, why didn’t they copy that?? I really don’t understand what they were thinking making BDSP so stupidly faithful to the original

Damn I am a pretend fan, I would never be able to know the name of any song in any of these games! The Heardle games in particular are so hard for me! I’ve seen a couple of these and they all strike me as something I’d need a gigantic brain to succeed at, hahaha–particularly because of the answer input method where you have to start typing a word rather than picking from a list of what have you.

Big missed opportunity not naming this game Squirdle.
