Twitter removed OpenGraph tags from server rendered tweet page?

twitter links are all broken and look like this right now:

if you link a tweet PLEASE include a description or just copy and paste the pictures/text over here. clicking twitter blindly is REAL BAD and its EVEN WORSE right now.

yup, I had to bump this site last week to update our https cert anyway and was hoping it would catch an upstream discourse fix for the twitter change but nothing yet

if you’re linking to a twitter video you can relatively easily embed it right here instead.

• Copy a link to the tweet with the video
• Paste it in a video downloader site like http://twittervideodownloader.com/
• There will be options to download the video in different qualities at the bottom
• Instead of downloading the video though just right-click/tap hold on the button and copy the link to the video
• Paste this link here (might need to remove some parts from the end so the links end in a file type like .mp4) and then the video will embed automatically and play

Hi @rafael_falco I have a temporary workaround while I dig deeper here - are you able to specify user-agent on your page requests? I’ve just checked, and specifying e.g. User-Agent: DiscourseBot/1.0 pulls back the legacy version at this time (although weirdly, this only works with an upper-case B character). I’ll make the team aware of this use case and check what the longer-term plan is here, though.

good, I’m still absolutely expecting them to include a hotfix for this in the next build so I’ll wait before doing anything locally
