I always liked how the combination of the 68k being ubiquitous and sega being slightly less fanatical about licensing than Nintendo made the megadrive feel for a while like a very “generic” console platform that could be integrated into stuff

Not sure where to put this, but just look at it:

A couple years back I got a tip that one of the auto companies was looking to unload a bunch of old A/V that I was free to grab for work. When I got there they said that an instructor (who I happened to know) from the local art school just scooped up all but one tiny reference monitor minutes before.
