I always liked how the combination of the 68k being ubiquitous and sega being slightly less fanatical about licensing than Nintendo made the megadrive feel for a while like a very “generic” console platform that could be integrated into stuff

When I got there they said that an instructor (who I happened to know) from the local art school just scooped up all but one tiny reference monitor minutes before.
