Congratulations! I’d love to say “the real FFXIV starts now,” but you’ve got a long trudge through the post-ARR patch content before you can start Heavenward. On the plus side, it’s not as bad as it used to be, and the farther you get through it, generally the better it gets!

I found this to be true of ARR as well. It was like there was a valley of badness when I was doing the eikon hunt quest chains, which ramped up to the fight against the empire. I liked the ending and it left me excited for 80 more seventh astral era quests.
