They’ve modelled the lead on the new one on Toshiro Mifune. They did that with the Takashi Miike Netflix show too, wonder if there’s a connection.

New protagonist sounds like a Capcom UK accountant and it looks like they put as much effort into the 
lip syncing as they did sourcing the voice actor. Hopefully that trailer is just a WIP build of the localization, but I doubt it.
Regardless, nice to see a new Onimusha.

Yeah it’s a uniquely awful English dub. I’ve not heard similar in quite a while. JP VA has good range though. Mucho chops.
Wonder if there could actually be a rerelease of 3 given Capcom would have to pay for Jean Reno’s likeness and voice again.
Or they do a funny and change his model and French dub

I feel kind of silly looking forward to a game that looks like this in the current media environment but capcom’s earned a lot of trust with me lately and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a standout. I forget I used to be a p big fan of these!

I haven’t bothered to watch any of the trailers but I think I assumed I’d buy this anyway based on being an Onimusha fan and Capcom’s quality of output as of late. It’s incredible what you can make people do with their number if you’ve built up a track record and trust with your audience.
I don’t know if Onimusha is really the same anymore if the opening isn’t a graphically industry-leading FMV cutscene, though.
