You fellas ever feel entertainment has gone beyond a joke
Just like everything else.
The new movie about apes with guns was so sincere it almost hurt. Recommended
The problem with The Room becoming self aware is that other struggling directors now will try to make their own horrible films to capture the cultural zeitgeist.
Weird as it is to make a movie about the making of The Room, and as played out as The Room is, this… could be good? A24 has had an excellent track record as a distributor lately. The Lobster, Moonlight, It Comes at Night, The VVitch, all within the last year or so. And I hear The Disaster Artist is a pretty bonkers book. This trailer wasn’t bad either.
Did people actually like The Lobster??
The Lobster was one of my favorite films of last year! I saw it in theaters twice, which I almost never do. I got a kick out of the bonkers premise, the totally deadpan comedy hit me in just the right place, and I enjoyed the satire of extremist worldviews.
The Lobster is a rare movie that is actually as good as Rachel Weisz’s performance in it.
I saw this today! I enjoyed it buy felt it was very unkind to Wiseau. Well, just certain scenes where he is portrayed as really horrible. Aside from that, I really enjoyed it.
in a way I feel like that’s been hollywood for several years now. I can’t remember the last ‘film’ I saw just ‘flicks’
apparently this is based on a book by the actor and the film actually glosses over a lot of stuff!
I wanna watch ed wood now because of how red letter media framed it to the disaster artist.
How did they frame it?
This movie was a lot funnier than I expected, and even had some really strong moments of pathos. I had a great time
they framed it like: Ed Wood had an artful thing to say about megomania whereas this was just … kinda hack.
