It’s a great contrast with the forums that fucking ban you and go on deleting binges if you dare to respond to a thread that’s over, like, a few weeks old.
Why would you want to spread out conversation across a million threads, restarting it every time, instead of containing it and letting it build and continue at its own rate?
Like. What do you imagine ideas are? What is communication?
What originated that culture? Was it an attempt to stop people from resurfacing beefs (never resurface the beef!) that codified into constricting Forum Law?

i have no idea how one would make this work but it seems cool
this is the first time i’ve ever fiddled with crt shader configurations–I switched to dot mask or whatever and raised the scanline sigma, raised the contrast slightly, and reduced the bloom. so the image isn’t overall much darkened by the scanlines, and the white menu borders and text still look bright. i guess it doesn’t look too much like a CRT but it softens the image in a way that I like
