no i mean, for sure i understand its influence on other stuff, but as like a piece of work to watch now

The first Tron is great, though I’ll admit to my opinion being colored by nostalgia.
It’s fun to see in part because they weren’t able to use computer graphics for most of the scenes that were supposed to be computer graphics. And of course because of Wendy Carlos.
The second Tron is weak, though parts of the soundtrack are good.

Yeah, I think there’s only about 50 seconds of actual computer animation in the film and it’s mostly in the light cycle scene plus an establishing shot of that “boat” toward the end.
13 from House MD is the main thing the sequel had going for it.
