I saw in the patch notes to a Riven update they said that they wouldnāt be using AI tools for future updates or something.
Oh, and a pre-emptive clarification in case this comes up from some of yāall inquiring about AI tools in Unreal 5.8: the Myst and Riven remakes were not built using AI tools, and we have no intent to use AI tools in them in the future.
This seems plausibly to mean they wonāt use AI tools for future projects, or that thereās not a wholesale commitment to them within Cyan or something? Iām hopeful at least

There was, the main voice was altered with ai, there were some wall textures that were iterated from generated images, some peripheral text was based on generated text

I watched a playthrough of this recently, it being the only one of the series I have engaged with, and itās pretty great!
I am utterly mystified by this encounter and brother, trying to check the wiki did not help clarify anything (it is a sidequel to two other games?)

i mean i would argue it is actually a direct sequel to the silver case and at least one aspect of 25th ward makes zero sense if you havenāt played fsr
also i would say im pretty sure thatās just Christina but I canāt remember why Christina would be purple temporarily. time to replay fsr!

surprising finding thanks to an itch notification this morning:
iāve thought about this personās weird metroidvania(?) for a long time without having ever played it, just on the basis of its graphics and reception (seems pretty rough). i think i even asked about it on here a long time ago (or maybe i just thought about it and decided no one would be able to name it based on the details i could remember).
anyway turns out iāve been following them on itch this whole time and they just (re)released a simonās quest fan game so i got notified of their existence after 6 years.
after some more digging i found the above trailer which was only released today! there is no mention of this game or any of their other work on their itch page. v strange. cool tho!
