these all look pretty good! speaking as someone who basically liked both Star Wars Squadrons and Star Wars Outlaws (especailly Squadrons), I would be kind of shocked if the new Racer is that successful; there’s a weird trend with the recent Star Wars games that are all basically B+’s (would include Jedi Survivor in this) to regard them all as slight disappointments.
Beast of Reincarnation and Dead or Alive both made me think about how there’s very specific genres of Japanese games that seem to be getting funding right now — every fighting game series suddenly has the money to reboot (thoguh honestly I feel like SF6 marked the end of the wave of these that I could get excited about and it’s going to take VF6 before I can muster much enthusiasm again), and it’s cool to make a 3D open ended action game as long as it has like, big Nier vibes.
also nice to see Mina the Hollower got a new release window

A new Castlevania game with a non-backwards looking art style has the unfortunate issue of looking like every other game it’s inspired since rather than a Castlevania. It’s a weird problem to have.

i was going to come here to be a hater and say that a new 2D Castlevania feels like one thing that has basically been superseded by 18 million high profile indie games - we’ve been drowning in frickin’ Castlevania for so long - and i’m not sure is anything we need anymore. but the fact that it is a remake of Castlevania 2 is at least somewhat interesting to me.
