is that the case? i don’t remember sega being so active in marketing any of the previous licensed titles
City Of The Wolves X Tekken coming soon (PREORDER NOW)
Oh Jesus. Defecting for that Saudi paycheck while the esports wave crashes
Licensed as in…?
made by studios outside of sega, like streets of rage 4, and the dragon’s trap, panzer dragoon, and house of the dead remakes
Ah right, gotcha. I dunno why I had it in my head they were being developed internally… Might be mixing it up with something else
yes!! as far as I’m concerned anyone who thought I was ~annoying~ about bds can eat shit and die
Crazy Tax and JSR are both being helmed by their original games’ directors, so the implication there is that they’re Sega internal or Sega-led
meanwhile we know nothing about the Golden Axe or Streets 3D revivals. considering the games were announced in 2024, Makoto Uchida, who worked on the original GA and only left in 24(I ain’t got time, go look at the man’s damage), could’ve touched Golden Axe
and, uh, Shinobi was Lizardcube, who was half of the SoR4 devs, but that wasn’t licensed, Sega published that themselves
Googling says Sega Sapporo Studio
is making the new Golden Axe. No real solid evidence yet that I found.
The new JSR is supposedly by Sapporo Studio and Sega’s 3rd Division (generally classified as in charge of Sega “online r&d”).

I didn’t manage to find any developer clues on the new Crazy Taxi or Streets of Rage.
it exist
How are those? I always wanted to gift one to a friend who loves Portal, but I’m not sure if they’re close enough.
They are obviously in the same minigenre as the Portals but different enough in vibe that I could see a Portal fan really disliking them. It depends why they like Portal.
I think they are both truly excellent games, top tier wonderful.
What Cuba Libre said.
While they are both first person “chamber” based puzzle games the Talos ones aren’t involved in the same sort of physics-breaking, momentum manipulating shenanigans as Portal, instead they are generally about manipulating lasers around rooms to open/activate various things in a certain way. Both are story focused by puzzle game standards but again one is a comedy and the other ponders philosophy.
That said they are good puzzle games.
Jack Bros. is finally playable for a reasonable price
NESTER ERASURE
Nester and his Funky Bowling could still appear
Virtual Bowling is a JP-only, much rarer title
the Space Invaders game is probably good if you like Space Invaders. i’ve always been pretty lukewarm on Space Invaders, unfortunately. sorry, i was born into a world where Galaga already existed
anyway, the other three are all great. Atlus should make a new Jack Bros. tbh
honestly Nintendo should add Virtual Lab for Pride next month
It’s also much better than Nester’s Funky Bowling.
And neither of them are good.
