This feels like a final nail in the coffin. While Phil Spencer was still basically a suit he at least had some prior experience working as a developer to ally him to other developers however tenuous it might have been. Now that the president of AI is in charge what captainlove said above me might as well be true…
i can’t wait for the microsoft azure cloudbox powered by copilot 365
gen ai video games that are functional are a long way out, I don’t see microsoft holding out any kind of coherent gaming division long enough to get there. obviously they don’t care about anything else
well at least co-op is something that separates it from the first. maybe the board game prototyped it for them. but idk how they get off saying “all new heroes” “all new cards” and then i watch the trailer and it’s silent with backflip in his hand. “all new” must mean something different to the marketing team.
You’re right, but I assume what they mean is “there are heroes that are all new” rather than “all heroes are new”.
Anyway, Slay the Spire has been my favorite game to listen to music while playing ever since it came out, so I’m pretty jazzed for the sequel. I hope it’s as good!
perhaps they’re commenting on the fact that it’s in godot now instead of unity, so technically they had to remake everything and thus it’s “all new”.
You’re more optimistic than I am
Finish read the game news I missed over the past half month, seems nothing valuable happened.
