For the record this was a game that has been mysteriously delayed multiple times, even before Covid. It’s probably going to be one of those games that had its development restarted to be more normal and bland just to get it out the door.
I know people complained that the Dreamcast game didn’t have a great sense of scale, for a mech game, but

Hey, this game’s aesthetic is described on its forum as a mix of Morrowind and King’s Field, made me think of you all. Also it looks swell in general.

also iirc, Andy Gavin era naughty dog mandated all their games be written in lisp so the source is very portable in practice, and you have some really miserable engineers 20 years ago to thank for that
