Hot damn.
For you PSN Plus freaks you get Nier Replicant, 13 Sentiels (which I do not talk up enough as VERY GOOD) and enough Star Ocean to ruin the rest of your life.
Ya know, this kinda looks like what the Core Design version of Tomb Raider Anniversary was gonna look like before they got shut down and Crystal Dynamics was given the IP forever.
idk if anyone else follows moon channel on youtube but he has a few interesting videos about games-oriented legal issues, and made a text post about the unity thing which I thought was worth sharing. not necessarily endorsing everything said here but
post is in here
i rewatched the trailer a few times and then got stoned and watched it some more and i guess i have softened a little on my stance insofar as i can say âwell, it looks better than Contra: Rogue Corps.â
it also does not seem to be a straight-up âremasterâ and looks closer to a remake in the sense of Super Castlevania 4/Akumajou Dracula X68k, where, yes, theyâre Castlevania 1, but also not really.
iâll check it out for science when it comes out
What a sale
new coke
Resign you fucks!
funny how they seemingly stonewalled all week until a group of mobile devs did a coordinated boycott of their ad tools
oh lol
absolutely flabbergasted by the idea that they are planning on doing this retroactively. Like, afaict theyâre not charging for installs prior to January 1st 2024, but they are counting those installs towards the threshold. So developers could get charged for every install starting on Jan 1st if they reached the threshold previously before these terms were in place.
Thatâs gotta be close to illegal, right?
so many games are gonna get delisted if this goes through
in practice, that doesnât really stop installs on most storefronts, right?
if i thought i was going to get charged i would replace the game files with a dummy exe that just displayed âsorryâ and then closed 5 seconds later
and in any case, it will at least prevent future purchases.
