They got friggin Stellan Skarsgard?
One of the game awards games was a zombie melee game with a manufactured pop-punk boy-girl duet song. Upon seeing gameplay I thought
“Well I haven’t been dissappointed in an Unreal Engine melee action game in a few months.”
Made by an Osaka-based team of ex-Capcom people, so at least it has potential.
they’re adding a bunch of hard modes in the new one
i am cautiously optimistic and warily enthused
viewtiful joe was a prophecy and this is the fruition
But we already had a bad lollipop chainsaw rerelease this year
how many piss man/foot man/florida man submissions are they gonna get
After a few delays, this is finally out.
I am not opposed to the existence of Mega Man 12 but did Mega Man 11 make any impact on anyone at all?
Gave this a crack for a couple hours at a friend’s today, it’s good! Solid, simple action game on par with licensed movie games you’d see around the time the movie came out - with modern concessions, of course. Looks gorgeous in motion, Nieborg and co. doing their magic as usual. Didn’t play long enough to see the alternate endings they’ve come up with, but the setups are obvious (kill Dyson/let him live, tinker with the T-800’s chip or leave it). Harder difficulties are STRICT, but I could see myself cracking through it in less than half an hour eventually.
I liked it well enough
it’s a little bland, but feels pretty good
that said, it is apparently the best-selling Mega Man game ever made, which I also found surprising
so yeah. I guess it made some impact
I can’t figure out if this is more that I am out of touch or that the world of games discourse is just really weird
I think it’s the latter
I only learned that info because I follow a like, “Mega Man News Guy” on bsky and formerly twitter. I’m not sure what accounts for it, really. kids seem to know who Mega Man is, though
were your megaman shoes after 10 or 11?
2027? I was expecting this to be available in February
10, i think. Those Mega Man Puma’s were like 15 or so years ago
Wore them until I couldn’t anymore
it’s worth noting that “the best-selling Mega Man game ever” means it sold 2 million copies (barely any megaman games from the broader franchise’s entire history have sold more than 1 million). it was a modest success, but nothing earthshattering
