TPP had a string of side ops involving rescuing old Mother Base staff who all had twitchy Skulls-like behavior, where these guys could be shoehorned into the canon. They could go the Umbrella Corps route and have no story…no idea how many scenario writers are left at Konami after Kojima left.

Whoa, I didn’t expect to ever see a sequel to that. I actually played N+ a little bit like a month ago.

It’s been out for a year or so already! Just… not on PC.

it looks like complete hot trash and I kind of wish they had called it metal gear sur5

You’ve done good.

So basically it is The Drifting Classroom but with soldiers instead of kids and zombie people instead of giant cockroaches. Hopefully it ends the same way:

i have generally found game freak’s recent run of not pokemon games to be okay but this looks pretty ugly

early access is also weird so who knows

oof, that looks like a student project; even the design is loose and unfocused, built around an idea that’s not as original as they think it is (just like a student project!)

I hate over-detailed puppet animation in games, but maybe I’ve been conditioned by a landscape of cheap Flash animation. Still, animation simplifies character designs for more than just reducing the strain on the animator’s wrists; it’s so much harder to stretch bounce & wobble with lines and lines of detail. Rendering it ‘sketchy’ doesn’t make this not apply guys.

Pixel art may be overdone at this budget level but it technologically prevents you from screwing up in this way.

Bummer.

is dishonored the only “steampunk” inspired vidya game to not be an embarrassing pastiche of cliches? it actually reminds me of why steampunk is cool.

Dishonored remembers that if the player was to suddenly find themselves in 19th century anycity they’d be grossed right the fuck out

and that makes all the difference :waynestare:

Prey seems very BioShock-esque but I’m not seeing a clear tone (or even a clear focus to the trailer? “yeah just end with like 12 seconds of spacewalking, they’ll get the point”). First-person fine manipulation + combat remains underrepresented so I’ll probably give this a shot but I don’t understand how Bethesda can do this profitably at these budgets when Irrational and everyone else can’t.
