My favorite drink is water with no ice and my favorite game is Street Fighter

I’ve grown more fond of Falcoon over time, though I think his work in recent years is a lot more refined. He pulls off the cool casual styles without characters looking too goofy. Very evocative of classic FG promo art of characters in their daily lives.

Going with that Blue Mary inspired outfit over the Garou look is weird, but also that’s the only alternative one that I don’t mind.

Well I did it I hit Master again ain’t I great

I am not happy with how relieved I felt after achieving this, I actually felt real relaxed and satisfied, bet I woulda smoked a cigarette if you’d offered me one (and enjoyed it). Aki is fun as hell and very good now but getting a handle on her took forever and I still have a long, long way to go with her. I’d like to think I’ll keep playing and enter tournaments again and focus on personal improvement rather than number goes up (or down) but y’know fat chance of that happening eh, fat chance.

(It was very funny seeing the current standard of play in Diamond. Almost nobody knows how to anti-air but they do know cool combos. I also wasn’t anti-airing, I did not bother practicing it, what the fuck was I thinking, once I started AA’ing consistently I blew everyone up and hit “The Big Time”.)

Manon and Honda both seem fun and I appreciate their buffs even though it’s taking me time to work off my ring rust. I am sorry I said they ruined you Honda, I was just being silly.

Glad I was right about this, glad so much of the community’s “JP is broken and ruining the game and will win Evo!!” whining turned out to be bullshit, glad he’s still viable after the patch, yes I am quoting this cuz I feel the same way about Akuma at the moment, does this surprise you. I am wondering if 90% of the player base going gaga for Gouki is ever going to stop considering how powerful he seems to be. Maybe some will switch over to Bison. He does look fun even though I’m not too into the new look. Maybe he’ll have some cool alt colors.

Not a fan of the season 2 lineup. Not into guest characters so having 50% of the slots taken up by them is a drag. And I think Elena is cool but yes I hate the healing super, anyone who played or watched Ultra SF4 does (except for Justin Wong), I really hope she doesn’t have it or it’s wildly reworked, wish any of these characters was replaced by a freak or weirdo but whatever, I’m sure they’ll all be fun to play and I look forward to the day when I can afford to buy them, spend an hour failing at their combo trials, and then never actually lab them while constantly complaining about how I have no clue how to fight them.

It’s nice playing this game while I’m somewhat healthier both mentally and physically, fighting still puts me very in the flesh but I haven’t cut a Mike-Tyson-testicle-stomping level promo to myself lately so that’s good. Or bad. I miss it but I’m sure my housemates don’t. I wish I had a fighting shed. That would be so good for me I bet.

against all odds, I’ve been enjoying bison. got some scrubby shit, got some abusable shit, got a wack-ass drive rush, got green crmk. very sf6. if you can’t beat 'em join 'em. I wish the game was less like this, and I still think we should let characters go away sometimes, but fun is fun, and he’s got the mid range bully thing going on that is one of the two kinds of characters I tend to be able to have some success with in fighting games.

Is Marvel talk allowed here? I’m jazzed for the new collection. I rented or owned MvC 1 and 2, but never got a chance to play the older games outside of the arcade. When I did, I’d pick the same few characters to stretch my quarters. I really just want to mess around with the rest of the roster in training mode. I think that’s worth full price.

I also miss when games looked like Street Fighter Alpha.

I guess there’s athe more general fighting game thread (melee island, I think). But yeah I’m excited for the Marvel collection. I only ever played it on PS2 at a friends and the new training mode features make me want to learn it beyond just doing crazy combos against the CPU.

My old team were not viable but I think it’d be fun to try and make things work: Juggernaut/Servbot/Spiral

He looks good as long as you don’t see his face. Love his victory screen. Cool to see some older moved like that double fire punch. I think they did him good.
