Didn’t someone lose their job for knocking off a bunch of Disturbed songs in one of those PS2/Gamecube era DBZ fighters? I believe the wackest numetal song ever, Droppin’ Plates, was among them.

wow, this is amazingly shitty haha.

the pronunciation of ā€œbringā€ as ā€œbu ru ringā€ is some shit even James Hetfield wouldn’t pull.

Yess! There’s some interview where he goes off on people who criticize him for speaking too properly. Dude is his own parody.

I just noticed a good one!

9AM in the original GameCube Animal Crossing is pretty much a cover of a Yellow Magic Orchestra song:

trying to line this up exactly with a Metroid title screen because hearing this I immediately knew, ā€œoh it’s Metroidā€, but it’s more a match for the gestalt sound palette and chords than any specific one

Extra distracting if u play the Game Boy version of this because the chiptune version is the only song that plays during regular Tetris

Sonic CD’s JP soundtrack has a ton of great stuff in the vein of 808 State’s seminal chillout house track ā€œPacific Stateā€.

It’s a very clear influence, and this track from the official Sonic CD remix album pretty much confirms it:

It lifts the exact chord progression! It’s so blatant, lol.

EDIT: Wait a second… I just went back to the original track, and you can hear it in there too, it’s just less obvious in the mix:
