Please explain it to me. I’ve spent the last ten minutes flipping it around like a puzzle in Baba is You.
ok I wasn’t entirely sold on the first half of the album but that tail end is nuts
There’s an… urban legend (?) that Marilyn Manson had ribs surgically removed so he could fellate himself
Wooooaaaahhhhhhh I was fixated on the album title instead of song titles.
You might say that I can’t see the forest for the trees, that I can’t smell my own shit on my knees.
wanted to check in with m. manson to see what he has been up to lately. it’s very funny to me that shooter jennings is now playing guitar for him, because in the olden days all of his other bandmates had pseudonyms that followed the same model/serial killer format, and shooter jennings doesn’t but his actual name sounds kind of like it’s in the same genre
The way the song Aammoorree kept calling out the bells every time killed me
I think Whitehouse is the one that’s sticking with me best. The songs he does original synth solos on always kick ass.
Just noticed that after “bottle is ready to blow” there’s a few measures of someone blowing on the top of a bottle to the melody.
Closerflies unlocked a memory of putting thumb tacks on my family’s ancient out-of-tune upright piano to play a swingy ragtime version of Closer.
The centennial of Episode I
Centennial (off by a day, but maybe that’s a time zone thing) of “All Star” by Smash Mouth
well this is upsetting
listening to this album a few times in the past few days and when i was learning Trump had covid, the baller Partridge Family remix started coming on and really helped me lean into the “Get Happy” mood
Yeah, this one is sticking to me hard. Like, I’m singing it to myself just walking around the house.
2018…
the real star is Superkiller with Ribs as a close second imo
10k spoons and fredhammer but it’s a good mixtape all round
Somehow I’m several years late to this thread. But it’s been a welcome lift, in this year of 2020
I think I could probably put Closerflies on the USB I have in my car, it’s just pretty good listening.
“Yahoo” makes me strangely emotional
