I remember thinking I was hot shit back in the day for combining a pirate head, and a Blacktron space suit torso and having a Nick Fury taking care of business at my fancy Lego airport that my parents let me keep set up on the coffee table for a month or so somehow.

The interactivity is pretty neat, though I think it might be hard-pressed to compete with the family iPad for a youngsterās attention. Whereas a kid who is way more into the building aspect will gravitate toward Lego in general.
Itās an interesting collaboration, itās more than I thought they would do with a Nintendo property.

I really thought this was going to be a video game! Iām interested in whether this really has an audience. I donāt know what the kids like. I wouldāve killed for this as a kid.
Now seems as good a time as any to say I have always hated Bowser Jr.'s design and especially that dumb little bib of his and I really donāt get why heās become one of the most visible Mario characters over the past two decades.

is that mario gonna cost like $50?
Oh yeah, the price per brick on these sets is going to be way out of whack. (Lego fans typically bemoan licensed sets being more expensive which Iām lead to believe isnāt always actually true.)
they put kids in the marketing, but we all know the audience is rich adults
