Gotta have a Kings Field secret area like the Wolfenstein stuff in Rage
Looks like theyâre going for motu, TMNT, my pet monster, street sharks, and Mazinger Z?
Wasnât there a tower defense third person shooter back when that was the go to cash in genre that actually got the motu and gi Joe licenses? Iâm pretty sure thatâs been pulled from distribution since.
motu = Mark of the Unicorn?
Masters of the Universe
It says the sales numbers donât include Game Pass, and I think itâs been on there almost since day 1. (Thatâs how I played it.) I was always impressed that this game (and A Way Out before it) required only one player to own it when you play online. Thatâs uncommonly generous. Or maybe smart marketing.
Gonna mention this here:
Chroma Zero came out this week and the few people who have played it (and its very meaty demo) almost all appear to be wowed by it. The reviews seem to namedrop Outer Wilds a lot which is a bit off (they are likely in the same subgenre), basically it is a rule discovery game where you gotta wander around this place and figure out exactly how it works, how not to break it (surprisingly tricky!), and what exactly it even wants from you.
Tried the demo, could only figure so much out myself (for whatever reason I am not great at these games) but it definitely seems neat and struck me as a very SB sorta game.
I bought this over the weekend, only played about an hour so far. I wouldnât really compare it to Outer Wilds (after an hour at least, though I would be surprised if that opinion changes). It seems to be purely about figuring out how to manipulate the puzzle-box environment - the wonder comes from having things click into place in your mind, not from exploration. Seems more like of a distilled version of Myst. All color-based puzzles, FYI. Some cool stuff so far, I will definitely play this through assuming it doesnât get tedious.
should have been Lydia Tar
