i was talking with a discord friend about the pre-2004 online metroid community, and i eventually decided to go into Google’s Usenet Graveyard to see if there was anything interesting there. I clicked on this thread on whim because the title was funny:
anyhow, I ran into this post from somebody claiming to work at DMA Design:
that guy is, according to MobyGames, the lead artist on Body Harvest so, uh, this seems pretty legit
we’ve known that some company had declined the offer to make metroid 64 since this infamous 2010 interview with games™, but DidYouKnowGaming did a recent investigation where they were unable to find any concrete leads.
