the saturn pad isn’t like this, nearest comparison is the thumbstick module on the neogeo pocket and our flawed fave the pdp versus (albeit not clicky)

I picked up a Nintendo Switch Online Super Famicom controller at the Nintendo store in Shibuya yesterday.
It’s an excellent controller. The size and weight are perfect and it feels exactly like the real thing to me.
Annoyingly it has no home button. The NES and SNES apps, and F-Zero 99 at least map home to ZR and screenshot to ZL. No other apps on the Switch do this, not even the GB and GBA apps which I think should.

Unfortunately not. There are a couple of number strings that could pass for some kind of date code, but that’s grasping at straws.

It looks amazing but that thing is made out of that rubberized plastic that devulcanizes and gets sticky, and being white it looks super gross coated with dust and hair and whatnot.
Plus it doesn’t play nicely with windows surprisingly.

I’m real glad Gamepadla has stats on if controllers have rubberized grips or not, because I had to chuck a bunch outta storage from the 360 era that were awful to touch.
It’s got me lookin’ at my Gamesir Nova worryingly…that thing is gonna be gross, eventually…
Edit: I finally found and unboxed my Steam controller I got when they did a fire sale on them and it’s pristine…except the analog stick is slimy…
