for me while i really wanna put together a dactyl manuform someday the biggest factor by far for my wrists and thumbs is phone use, especially in bed. if you can cut that down the improvement might astound you

+1 for the microsoft sculpt keyboard; honestly the best ~$50 i ever spent on a computer peripheral. it’s horrible that it is wireless only (not just being picky about it, mine does have real issues with the signal dropping) but switching to it from a standard keyboard basically entirely healed some awful rsi i was developing that was starting to prevent me from doing anything intensive on the computer or playing games. the elements of it that seem to help the most are the tenting downward from the center, the split in the middle, and the placement of the nearest modifier keys under the thumb rather than the pinky, though i think this is the very cheapest ergo keyboard that has all of those important elements.
as for mice, i bought this creepy thing because i started developing rsi in my mouse hand too but am spoiled by high-dpi gaming mice and this is one of only two vertical mice i could ever find that use gaming sensors (the other is a similar-looking one from the same chinese oem). definitely reduces the pain and i think it’s good if you also have that specific interest; not sure it’s any better than a cheaper chinese vertical mouse otherwise.

yeah def, its bad for my sleep too. i dont think its a coincidence that its started happening the same time ive been using my phone a lot more. i have to also cut down time on it anyways for mental health reasons
ty!!! looking it up, not sure about which keyboard to pick between the ergo and the sculpt, but with trappedinlimbo’s testimony and the seperate numpad i think ill go with the sculpt. i love the idea of not having to take my hand off my mouse to use the numpad. i hope i also dont have problems with signal dropping, seems like theres no wired version
hmmmm… i like the idea of using a joystick on a mouse, esp if you can program it for shortcuts, but thats more a bonus then anything, so ill prolly pick up the anker. also does look interesting lol

What’s the state of the art in Androids keyboards, and is it at least as good as the default one on my Galaxy S3? Only getting three suggestions is making me crazy.
my sicko suggestion is Typewise, which uses a totally different keyboard layout, doesn’t learn from you at all, takes at least a week to learn, and only has so-so autocorrect. But the hexagonally shaped keys and lack of spacebar make the individual keys sooo much bigger that my typing accuracy/speed have gone waaaay up. it’s super difficult for me to go back to a normal keyboard.
