Memorable moments in otherwise forgettable games

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is a game with nothing to say undercut by its (not terribly unsound, given precedent) confidence that it would get a sequel and could afford to tell an incomplete story, but there are two elements I really like: the first is how much of its plot progression is determined by geography, but the more relevant one is going to towns affected by the apocalyptic event that occurs 3/5ths through the game, and seeing how they’ve been affected, World of Ruin-style, but better. There’s village that has been largely evacuated, with those remaining burning down all the structures to prevent monsters from getting to the town matriarch, who needs to stay, and this is all some One Piece shit I am here for.
