I’ve been trying to think how I could ever buy into a new voice for max and I think they’d have to give him a new face at least, no sam lake face. find some current guy who looks like the max payne 2 model guy. maybe that’s what they were going to do anyway, would it be weird if he was just the aw2 alex casey model stuck in a rockstar owned game? I was real excited for the remakes after how well the dark place in aw2 captured that shithole covered in graffiti and syringes covering the floor look of mp1. I thought maybe that’d be something sort of lost, too specific to that time period, level of fidelity, made by people who grew up watching 70-80s new york is a hellhole movies, etc. even mp2 was cleaner looking. always like 2 the best but the early levels of 1 got a unique feel and mood to them. still bummed about mccaffrey. won’t be long before everyone who makes the things I like will be dead!
