I feel like Rondo of Blood is pretty good but achieved Legendary Status for reasons that aren’t that impressive anymore (anime cutscenes, graphics, branching paths & endings & secrets, unnecessary extra moves, availability on a weird platform you don’t have)

I still like it a lot but prefer CV1’s more rigid challenge and CV4’s ridiculous unique omni-whip. I’d maybe also prefer Bloodlines for its locales if it weren’t for the limited continues but as it is fuck Bloodlines

do the alt stage 2 where you spend most of it stood still on the little boat enjoying the music

bloodlines is beautiful and packs so much Good Shit into half an hour, also get a huge kick out of beating the final boss by just vaulting up repeatedly on eric runs
