I made another one of these because I like to try and remember how I felt when I first saw them.
Here’s the last one. I’ve got quite a few blindspots with more recent films. Making this, I realized that I’m just really loyal to handful of directors. It’s hard for me to fill it out if I limit it to one-per.
ah, i have a specifically videogame-related letterboxd list
More people need to be honest with themselves about how good Ape Escape 3 is
All 3 entries are phenomenal games, but 3 really has the most flair out of all of them
Sorry for being predictable.
EDIT: Forgot Wachenroder, why do I even bother. Also could replace Lain PSX with Utena Saturn
Ooh I need to get a bingo with everyone’s now
Actually, i did a few of the lists itt and was surprised:
close, but there’s no happy end(ing bingo) for Minty & Moi ![]()
(Should note maybe how i selected entries — first of all, i do have to agree that they’d be something i put on my list. If that’s a YES, i try to avoid sacred cows, i.e. games where i didn’t play enough or not at all — gotta kick them off the list. Turns out i DO have a tendency wanting to tick games i never played even, e.g. Sky Odyssey would DEFINITELY be up my alley if i played it, but alas — gotta skip it! Or take TXR: Zero for example, didn’t play this very version, so off the list it is.
So in a way, it is playing it save, which hurts my pride sometime! That’s good tho, because it triggers my neurons firing on all cylinders. Alas, behold some random lists for kicks:
…… and the most pathetic embarassing non-bingo ever:
God hand should just be in the middle of everyone’s as the free space
What can you tell me about Remember Me? I bought it recently cause I vaguely remembered it looking interesting back when it came out. I think I also recall it getting very middling reviews, but I’ve never put any stock into that for signs of quality.
hmmmm, let’s see:
- Play with french VO for maximum frenchness.
- it sports a configurable combo-system for beat’em’upping bad guys, kinda like God Hand….
- … which is also tied to the bgm-playback, the better you perform in fights, the more instruments/tracks you get.
- paper-thin but funky SciFi plot set in Dystopian Future Paris — if that doesn’t sell you already, what else will

the dontnod-team went on to do the Life is Strange series, if that’s anything you want to check out.
But aside from that, it’s just another standard action game that could have been a quirky PS2-title a decade earlier.
If anything, it was trying to be different when a lot of games tried to be Gears. And it was french. Definitely so
…. all that’s left to say is:
allez le Memorize ![]()
