Yeah, the first game drove me insane with its encounters (every goddamn Naughty Dog game has encounters that are about three waves too long), especially that last one in Left Behind, guarding that door. TLOU2 takes more after Uncharted The Lost Legacy in toning that shit down. It’s also mechanically just better in general.
Story is real, I dunno, you like it or don’t, and this has got to be the last game from Naughty Dog that does real shitty by black people because if a part 3 comes out and does this shit again, Jesus Christ.
In conclusion - I liked the effect of (neat Abby character detail spoiler) the audio sort of getting muffled and the sound of Abby’s heartbeat and breathing increasing, and the camera sort of pulling back, anytime you look down from on high, to sorta accentuate her fear of heights.
I dunno. Game has problems for sure. If you can go into it knowing that, strictly as a game, it’s alright.
That said, they made Stalkers way, way sneakier and scarier in this one. The ones you encounter in broad daylight near the end of the game scared the shit out of me.

You can full stealth this game, right? What about a full run of the game where you only kill dogs, and the game’s balancing system just keeps filling more and more dogs into levels to compensate.

it is not true! you dont need to play a game at all to know you wont like it! your most precious currency is TIME and if you can save time by filtering out wastes of it that’s GOOD
most of us are old enough that we can know waht we like or don’t and come to good conclusions based on the infinite information out there about everything that ever happens in every videogame!!! I will always push back on this! you never have to play a game for 20 hours to KNOW it’s bad
