Aggretsuko the Netflix Show is p good

Aggrestuko the long series of 1 minute shorts is pretty neat

I liked it, but eventually stopped watching it because it didn’t seem to “progress” in any direction.

the progress is “hyena will never hook up with her”

the new jujutsu kaisen ep is out today so today is automatically good

Has anyone seen either The Burning Buddha Man or Violence Voyager? I’m super curious about these

yeah Violence Voyager rules. it’s some pretty intense body horror, but it’s
very unique, to say the least

I’ve been listening to a bit of Mari Iijima at work lately so I figured it was time for my first viewing of Macross: Do You Remember Love?. It was pretty good, I could sort of feel how it was condensed to fit movie length but it managed to not feel like a ‘cliffs notes’ rush job. The galaxy being saved by an ancient pop song is a hell of a thing.

the subtitles were a mess, anytime the aliens spoke in their own language the english was overlaid on the japanese so I could barely make out what they were saying. I think I got the gist but I might have missed a bit of the detail. Also the song lyrics and regular dialogue just sort of ran together, so in the finale my brain got tricked into thinking the aliens were speaking romantic words at each other along with the ‘protoculture’ stuff.

I haven’t watched any of the series except for the Robotech version back when I was maybe 5 years old, and I remember nothing of it except that I hated it because of the ‘wobbly eyes’. I guess I should try to track it down and give it a proper viewing.

wonder egg priority was introduced to me by a friend and i like it a lot so far. good visuals, likable characters, the power of friendship for a shut-in and the rest of the cast. can only find it on streaming sites because i think funimation owns it.

have to watch it in small burts because it exhausts me a little. maybe it’s the heavy subject matter.
