Holy shit, seriously?
oh yeah sheâs been on that for a while
we have the LD player, we have the Domesday hardware, the LD player needs RF out modification and calibration and I believe weâre in business
That rules! I had no idea. Do keep me posted!!
I had relatively good luck renaming files/save states/SAV to jump across all 4 discs of Heart of Darkness but it did take work. I think I infact renamed them to match a m3u for like disc 3 onward.
wanna shout out AltStore and Delta for being easier to put on my iPhone than jailbreaking any handheld console
Related to the thread, I recently installed Citra to my softmodded Switch just to try it out, and I was impressed but also disappointed at how it ran. I didnât expected it to work at all, so when it ran kinda playable but with very stuttery audio, I was surprised. Still better to just run it on anything else but surprised itâs working at all really.
Neat to see that the handheld to dock works just as seamlessly as everything else. You can also take screenshots but no video unfortunately, just like running any other emulator.
OH SHIT MARBLE MADNESS PROTO!
Oh that isâŚexactly what I would want in a dosbundle.
Does anybody know how well N64 emulation runs on a hacked Switch? And, if so, how well would Mischief Makers run?
I tried Swanstation in Retroarch tonight. Good God R4 looks good at 4x scaling with PXGP on. Iâm embarrassed that I didnât try this sooner.
I would like to go up to 5x or even 9x scaling, but the emulator immediately stretches 4:3 to 16:9 when I try those.
PSX âwobbleâ is pretty endearing in some games, but it can be a liability in upscaled racing games on night courses when youâre not sure where the apex of the upcoming turn is.
And using standalone Duckstation completely solves this issue. I tried so many things in Retroarch to get Swanstation to use the proper aspect ratio in any modes outside of 1x, 2x, and 4x. Duckstation just worked effortlessly.
I guess I need to start giving standalone emulators more of a chance again. Retroarch really added a ton of extra complexity and problems here.
yeah, duckstation is much better than swanstation. You can get superscaling to work on beetle psx hw but not swanstation.
So, in general, duckstation is the easiest solution for psx emulation right now but if you want to use retroarch for whatever reason, stick to beetle psx hw
Iâve got a Citra question - how do I take a screenshot but have it just automatically save an image without bugging me for a file name every time? Should I just be using an external screenshotting solution instead?
PCSX2 started getting macOS support again and nobody told me???
that was in the last year or so I think, itâs very welcome, their shader implementation was extremely not portable for a long time there
yeah looks like they started doing automatic builds in April, who knows how far back the underlying support was added though
so grateful to have options again
