I agree with this, and we can’t forget that pretty much everyone but 4-5 people on this entire forum hates everything Blizzard has made after StarCraft II BUT
This is exactly what Overwatch excels at. I think a lot of the quick play user base is playing the game to do cool thing as an avatar they feel represents them or the play style they enjoy whether they win or lose. It’s a way more polished social time waster than something like Fortnite. I think Overwatch 2 is an attempt to more cleanly separate the casual and ranked crowds into distinct buckets that can be catered to individually, which sounds like a marketing nightmare, but I hope they figure it out.
