It is a new moon tonight, so no moonpost pics for a while. but i did show someone at the meetup how i have a gigantic moon on my home page on my phone, so i’ll show it here too:
it’s an app called Daff Moon, i only just recently understood how it shows the position of the moon in the sky so it’s much easier to find it even when there are clouds. it even shows the position when it’s on the other side of the earth - cool shit!
i don’t put a ton of stock in Moon Theories re: its affect on human behavior and events, but i can tell you from personal experience that from first quarter to last quarter (i.e. the first half full, and the second half full, with the full moon exactly halfway through those two periods) i feel a nice invigorating effect just from seeing the moon. hence the thread. love the moon.
gonna be sad when winter really arrives and my morning walks become morning not-walks.
