I do this (randomize everything) but with about 30,000 songs (only 10,000 or so on my phone). I keep the non-music MP3 files in a separate directory so Winamp and Poweramp (PC and phone, respectively) don’t include them in the library.
But sometimes I pull up and shuffle a specific artist or album. A small handful of albums I consistently play in their entirety and in the intended order (not counting when I play records, which I of course always play that way and I don’t buy records of albums with songs I’d want to skip).
I don’t play records because they sound different. They really don’t on the equipment I have unless they are scratched up. I just think they are fun objects. I play them mainly when I am cooking or cleaning.
