When I was a small child I used to enter the first 3 letters of my first name. Because my first name can be shorted to 4 letters. So even with 3 you can tell what my name is.
When I was older I did first/middle/last abbreviation.
When I learned about Tsuneki Ikeda and Shinobu Yagawa’s nicknames IKD and YGW I realized first letter of each syllable of last name, katakana-style, was the way to go because it looks cool.
i use the first letters of three of my names (there’s only four of them) and get very embarassed when i through muscle memory enter my old initials instead
From about 6/7 years old it was always BAD (because Off The Wall or Thriller had too many letters) but the last decade or so has almost always been Forename-Middle Name-Middle Name (CDJ)
oh my god i just rememebred i had a devil phase where id just enter my initials the same as the score underneath me becuase in my head at the time i was like ’ maybe they’ll think they got the high score and be happy’ but i think i was just gaslighting
(i only did this for like a month maybe at milpitas golfland)
