I’m looking for headphones to wear as I’m working from home. can someone recommend a basic over ear bluetooth headset that’s comfortable for large headed persons? noise cancelling isn’t necessary and I’d prefer something without a bunch of extraneous digital features, though having a built in mic would be nice. sound quality isn’t an issue beyond them not being fatiguing to listen to for long periods of time. ideally no more than $100 but I’d pay more if they’re exceptionally good sounding.
eta this is probably too much to ask but bluetooth headphones that doesn’t interrupt your audio when the battery is running low would be amazing. I’d honestly rather them just die silently on me than scream in my ear mid-song.
Also deeply discounted and possibly okay at the current pricepoint. I ultimately stopped using them in favor of the Sonys above because those have a little bit better bass.
This are my “lying in bed watching ASMR videos” earbuds and they are great for that, and also for when I want to play games on my phone and actually have the sound on. Great sound, very easy operation. I was not sold on the concept of wireless earbuds before these.
I also have some ancient pair of wired headphones with a built in mic that I use for Roll20/Zoom etc., and they are fine for that but really don’t fit my head well enough or sound good enough for general use.
they’re not basic but I just got a cheap pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 II and they fit my giant head just fine. They have all your nice-to-haves as well, you can turn off the … narrator? so battery percentage updates don’t disturb you
Partner hates in-ears so this is great. I also always seem to mess up AirPod pairings right before calls so just going straight in should help (with latency too, I expect)
i’m seeing an enormous price range for ‘yincrow’ which i guess is fine since i’ve had a go at value IEMs from aliexpress already but i am curious what price point we’re looking at here

Because of this thread I got the yincrows and DAMN they’re very good!! Very very nice sound. I guess I had unusually shit earphones before this but these are also unusually nice so it’s a wild change. Time to listen to a lot of podcasts and hear all the weird ambient sounds from their rooms in the background

right? they’re not about to give you like. ultra wide soundstage and perfect reproduction of the pick sliding along the guitar string, but they’re great for a little set you can toss about
