I used 2700K bulbs almost everywhere, and went with the kind that gets even redder if you dim it (down to 2200K).
But that looks a little dissonant in fundamentally non-cozy spaces like my garage, so I used 3000K and 3500K bulbs in those. I didn’t find any use for the sharp blue of 5000K “daylight” bulbs though

I just hate the yellow cast on all the rooms that I’ve gone to the trouble of painting. They all look great in actual daylight and kinda crappy at night

Those bulbs’ CRI is probably poor! That was the point of my original post!!! Try replacing them with some 95CRI 2700K before you resort to colder bulbs.
They didn’t even know how make LEDs better than 90CRI five years ago, or 80CRI ten years ago. And to this day cheap store-brand LED bulbs are usually no better than 85CRI. So any housing that converted to LED early or without doing any research could benefit from another replacement

idk what nvidia has done to people to make so many of them have a primal need to upgrade their cards for thousands of dollars every year, but the amount of people who feel that way inexplicably keeps growing. I got this friend who keeps telling me that he no longer wants to play any modern games because he prefers the simplicity of the Old Ways, but I’ll be damned if that man isn’t standing in lines trying to pay $2500 for a 5090 anyway

Apparently there’s a way to hack or modify the BIOS files of older motherboards to add rebar support and improve game performance.
I’m tempted to try it, but I also don’t want to fuck up and kill my PC right as shit in the world is going pretty rotten.

I don’t think rebar actually makes a huge difference for hardware that doesn’t require it, it’s more of a hard cutoff than a soft one
