i think we are basically past it in japan time, but that’s no reason to miss out such an important date . . . jun togawa’s 60th birthday!!
how can it be that such a wonderful artist could exist!? for almost ten years, she was in a period of serious isolation, following a series of unfortunate events in her life. the little she was active during that time, it was always around a certain veil of secrecy and discretion. appareances of her in tiny concert venues in east-asia asked attendees to not take pictures or film the event, etc.
over the last five-ish years, however, this changed. she was involved in multiple projects again, from remix albums of her previous work to features with younger artists, to entirely new songs. she now has a presence on youtube where she talks about her career and posts very zany karaoke-style singing videos every now and then.
