game series is not only dead but actively retconning itself to remove all the good parts (as with ce remake) so I’m nostalgia watching zoomer play Halo 1 on CRT tv.
Nah that was the digsite people remaking the e3 demo for the Master Chief Collection.
Anyway yeah it’s legit.
I messed around with it. idk. Mostly empty test maps, half of which don’t even load. It’s cool to see all the stencil shading, though.

I’d like to see what there’s left of the two cut levels near the end of the retail game honestly way more than this but the digsite guys are obsessed with perfecting this ten minute demo bungie rushed together because it was a formative moment in their childhood. the cut combat evolved stuff they were messing with was cool because it was playable assets and not a scripted sequence

played CE all the way through with my 8 year old nephew, he loved the more open spaces with the warthog and banshees but wasn’t feeling the library at all
