presumably to differentiate itself from the visual identity of sf4 (which shared assets), street fighter x tekken dialed the contrast, effects, and ui elements up to 11 resulting in this garish mess

yeah i was also surprised to see a new one. idk if anyone here cares abt em but they look so particular and seem kinda divorced from mainstream design sensibilities in a way thatâs intriguing.

I played this game in the mame (windows 98) when I was like 10 yo. Itâs responsible for my sexual awakening and it was really weird. The spider & the creepy fireball mixed with the silhouettes and the photorealistic pixeled girls⌠a strange trip.
I guess you can find a lot of grotesqueness in eroge games (specially if theyâre cheap). But if you add âmobile gameâ to it, you get 100% grotesque guarantee. So I also found this android âstarâ version of the game. Enjoy if you can.

the first time me and my friends had a play around in mame, gals panic ended up getting played, and the horrible voice clips of encouragement became part of our vocabulary for years afterwards

itâs a curious mix actually: itâs mostly over-the-shoulder until u activate some special mode, then it switches to first-person until you either succeed or fail(?) at executing a combo, at which point u get some crazy finisher or spectacle attack.

It was a source engine beat em up made by weirdos in 2009, so it was like sticking your head out of the poison cloud⌠The old tricks wonât work
