ok. have gone from asylum to New Dunk City (aka ““““new londo””””) to grab firekeeper’s soul, thru elevator to valley of drakes, grabbed the dragon crest shield, ran over to darkroot, killed the halberd black knight, obtained grass crest, farted around in darkroot for a little bit killing stone knights with my stupid little mace, got the Elite Knight’s Set, put on the Elite Knight Hat for a while but it’s too obvious so we’ve opted for Elite Knight Pants for now until the inevitable lust for hats set in
back through darkroot to say hi to andre, hi andre!!! and to the undead parish to beat up the berenike knight and the channeler, get firekeeper soul #2, free lautrec, kick lautrec over the cliff, get his ring, go backwards through the parish, trick helmet pig into the bonfire, slide down the ladder to ratville (!!! LADDER SAFETY !!!), run across the bridge which is currently drake-free, get the bonfire next to sunbro altar, openup that shortcut back to pigville, say hi to solaire (hi solaire!!!) … does anybody have this thing on ps4 and want to co-op? i wanna farm sunlight medals.
i should probably go fight a boss lmao

i’m currently planning on doing a Faith Jackass kind of thing. lightning bolts, force, divine or occult zweihander, general truculence. i love the onion hat but i don’t feel like the onion hat is very “grinchy”. it also feels somewhat out of character for a “grinch” to be a Faith Jackass, i initially considered being some kind of wizard, but if you a) consider the grinch-saint dichotomy and b) reflect on the grinch’s numinous powers in Grinch Night, it’s clear that the grinch is some kind of dark god
plus the grinch would obviously shoot lightning instead of lasers. duh

sitting around at the undead parish chapel doing co-op so i can join the Sunbros.
a serious question emerges……. what… is the grinchiest weapon?
i started my dark souls journey with rapiers, then ran around with clubs for a while bec a trash wizard with a baseball bat is funny, then the renaissance of Naked Fuck With A Giant Weapon.. but none of these really communicate true grinchiness.
what motivates a grinch? well, obviously a grinch is antisocial. a grinch can summon evil spirits (grinch night) and uh.. is a noise musician (cat in the hat)… plus if i’m doing faith things for buffs that means i want a fast weapon…probably adding poison into the mix because belching toxic gas at your opponents feels very grinchy….
looks like im going to the catacombs to get the greatscythe.
i have not beaten any bosses in my game yet

i have tragically found myself embarking on the game as it is played eg “fighting bosses”. co-oping with my friend eric. sunbroing for randos, as my heart has grown three sizes this day. the greatscythe is hilarious. sack helmet obtained. maybe dark souls isn’t what you buy from a store…….

got enough medals for great lightning spear, a miracle i will not cast for many a level
went back through darkroot to drake valley and upper blight town to beat up the poison fred flintstones and get the excellent red wizard hat and Remedy. i paused a moment to enjoy the beauty of darkroot basin, took this photo, and promptly backstepped off a cliff and died.
