Got a selection of GOOD STEALS on sale, stranger! (Part 1)

The folks who did Minerva’s Den (which, to be fair, I haven’t played!) went on to form The Fullbright Company, of Gone Home and Tacoma fame.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by this, Bioshock has always been a walking simulator in search of permission to finally reject its shooting mechanics (and also for something interesting to say, which is a separate problem). But I’m surprised by this!

Return of the Obra Dinn is $14 on steam for a couple days

Do you have Twitch Prime my dawg, this is going to be one of the free games offered in February

Similar deal on PS4. This will probably be the next video game that I play. I hope it’s okay that I’m skipping the first one. (That’s a joke.)

This is tempting! Is this site on the up and up or is it run by Al Qaeda or bad nerds or something?

its on the up amd up i think. been using for years and never heard anything bad about the site itself

i for one am actually hoping that bachelor is trying to trick us into funding al qaeda

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection is very good. They added new control schemes for a couple of my favorite arcade games that are not easy to play in emulators due to rotary joysticks. And the rewind function is fun and useful.

One game I haven’t yet revisited is Time Soldiers. Maybe with rewind I can finally beat the last level. I never did in the arcade. (You can’t continue on the last level.)

It’s the same as always, the consistent story from game creators is that they prefer you pirate the game over buying from a key reseller because supporting bad copies and dealing with chargebacks from stolen cards bites the developers in the end.

As far as I’ve been able to dig up Fanatical isn’t doing anything skeezy and seems to handle things the right way.

That’s what I was worried about, but from what I’ve read this seems to be some kind of Humble Bundle style publisher involved situation rather than shady dudes shuffling around review keys or whatever.

balls! i wanted to check out earth’s dawn but that bundle ended overnight
