I was gonna wait till this game was $20 or $30 at most to buy it, but being able to preorder it for $42 is pretty cool (and I can always change my mind later).

Not a bad deal if you want a small Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo player, pretty dang good deal if you wanna pop it open and get it playing a bunch of old stuff off a flash drive.

Are the controllers good salvage for other things?
dunno, but from what I’ve seen, ps classic is a comparable-to-raspberry-pi cheap low effort emulation box
the controllers feel pretty good and probably will be worth at least 30 in a few years.

The controllers feel OK? Kinda cheap, but not like, third party of that era cheap. I dunno, I hopped on the Playstation wagon in the Dual Shock era, so I’m not sure how close they are to the real deal.
But yeah, as a low-effort Raspberry Pi alternative with two controllers, $25 ain’t bad at all.

Yeah, I’d mostly be interested in using these and maybe swapping the boards with the 8BitDO wireless kit, if the build quality was justifiable next to hunting down original PSX controllers
I just plug a computer into my TV to emulate
If you wanna break it down as paying $12.50 per controller, I’d say they’re probably worth it.

if they weren’t the original PS controller, which is one of the worst official controllers ever made, that would easily be true
Ah, but to that end, they’re nothing if not authentic.
Look I know I said I barely used the OG controller, but I was an ass and would bring my Dual Shock over to my friend’s house specifically because the old PSOne controller felt like a scrawny, flimsy thing.
