microsoft have that $1 game pass ultimate deal going again, presumably because of the xcloud streaming thing. this also means you can do the xbox gold to xbox gp ultimate conversion thing for a dollar if you’ve never done it. I never did it before because game pass PC was $5 a month and I was never going to buy a xbone for ultimate to matter. now PC game pass is $10 a month, android streaming is a thing, and there is a non zero chance I’ll buy a series X. basically what you do is you buy xbox live gold digital subscription codes from amazon and you load them into your microsoft account, then you sign up for the game pass ultimate $1 deal and it converts your gold account into a game pass account. and you can get an extra free month for every code you enter by turning on auto renew and then turning it back off again before you enter the next code. I ended up with just shy of 3 years of this shit for $4.7 a month. that ain’t bad at all.

Have you ever had any problems with the keys? This looks legit but I’m always wary of third party steam key merchants (except for Humble which I guess is a bit hypocritical on my part but

Fanatical is the only non-Humble one I’ve messed with and they seem more legit than most those other ones.
Essentially they’re a humble knock off

It’s not about having problems it’s that the steam keys are generated through credit card fraud that only hurts the developers.
Don’t know if that is the fanatical deal, but definitely on the less reputible places.

Yeah, Fanatical seems to actually work with publishers and has partnered with Polygon and the like.
I’m pretty skittish about buying shit from shady websites* so I sniffed around before grabbing my cheap secondary PC copy of that SNK comp for when my Switch finally explodes.
*although I just broke my 2 years of avoiding amazon for a tg-16 mini, boo
PC is the most convenient place for me to play games but PSN’s sale pricing can be really good, especially for Japanese games. Makes it hard to decide if I want to pick something up on PS4 instead, even if I have to deal with storage limitations and loading speeds and the like.
Since my PC seems to be breaking down lately, I tend to be gravitating towards xbox sales lately. I also have a new job where I walk all day so I would rather sit down on my couch.
