This is where I’m at too, I just found their handling of the nuclear aspect so dire and tone-deaf that I can’t truly get into this franchise.
I liked aspects of War of the Monsters, particularly the Monarch jet thing and the characterization of Rodan and Gidorah. I’m enjoying Monarch the show a lot more than I thought I would, mainly because it at least seems to consider Monarch the bad guys, and it’s almost fully set in Tokyo.
