The elseworlds baindaid they’re doing is a mistake. Nerds will just be arguing what 'verse should have been the real DCU in a few years.

apparently dave batista has been doing press about how he wanted to play bane but is too old for it now, which made me kind of sad. but i really think he would make a perfect lex luthor. like that’s kind of an interesting take on the character right? a sort of alpha grindset guy who has dedicated his whole life to forging himself into the Ideal Male Body/Mind, but is just cresting over the age range where he knows he’s inevitably going to become less and less physically imposing over time. and then superman comes along as someone who is just effortlessly superior in every way. i find it compelling. i think batista has the right combination of like quiet intensity and muscle guy energy to pull it off.

Been grumblin’ and pissin’ and moanin’ about Marvel stuff for a while, but goddamnit…I’ll go see that one.
(And also probably be confused about all the plot details that got woven into the eight movies and ten TV shows and six specials and a cartoon or whatever I missed in the interim)

Yeah we had fun with Peacemaker but The Boys is still best in class of the weirdly bloated superheroes being bad genre, makes all the rest of them sort of pointless imo.
To be fair if Guardians had never come out and you showed me the trailer for the first one now as a new movie I would probably feel the same way. They had their moment, now the MCU house style is simply too ubiquitous to be interesting no matter what creatives you throw at it.
