I remember that if you do the dash jump from the right spot and then just hold left and mash jump you pretty much get it 75% of the time

iirc itâs pretty unlikely that you wouldnât have beaten flame mammoth by the time you get the other 3 upgrades since heâs weak to chill penguinâs weapon which is the first one you get

since rules can only have a max of 4 regions, you start to get in situations where you have to make regions that store data more concisely so that you can solve harder puzzles. (e.g. if you only use the default regions the game makes for you, there are some puzzles that require the overlap of 5+ of those regions to make a deduction). the process of making intermediate regions is non-trivial, even with the built in tools.
then, when you start making too many regions it really obfuscates other puzzles, so you have to start making smarter rules that only make USEFUL regions, or make other rules that hide distracting rules so you can focus on the actual puzzle.
itâs a very good game, and the logical affordances it gives you are just so you can dive even deeper.
honestly, it would be very disheartening to make a bunch of rules and then realize some of your rules are wrong. how would figure out which ones? sounds maddening.

The last day of Game Pass so tried Unpacking (Itâs fine!) Vampire Saviors (this is vampire saviors?) and Halo ODST. I do not like Halo. ODST was the closest I got to liking Halo in 360 times.
For a series I do not like how have I played almost every mainline game?
Come off Black Ops (Listen to Episode 100 of Hinge Problems!) I was shocked how bad it looked in comparison. Maybe it was just my cloud connection but everything was dark and monocolor. I could barely tell a difference between the Batman Vision mode and normal. I could see stuff slightly better in Batman vision.
The big city felt like video game and not a big city. I did laugh at the environmental grafitti and the audio log story that I have meant to just listen to on youtube for 11 years.

actually this is not true! I goofed! spark mandrill is weak to chill penguin, flame mammoth is weak to storm eagle (but storm eagle is where you get the helmet and is pretty easy in his own right so youâd probably do F.M. 3rd or 4th at worst; beating storm eagleâs stage makes spark mandrillâs easier)

I was doing flight sims when half life hit, so Iwas using rudder pedals for strafing and had move forward mapped to a mouse button in the half life era. It was a wild time

Also only being able to open locked doors with wire coat hangers and there being 6 locked doors in the game but only 5 wire coat hangers
I then learned some uh not great thing about the dev team so I donât really feel like playing anymore

Giana Sisters was the closest thing I had to Super Mario Bros. at home as a kid. Though had I been a kid in 2019 I guess I would have had another option:
(There was actually an old Super Mario Bros. game on the C64 as well, but Iâm not sure whether it was just a mod of Giana Sisters or whether it was the original prototype that would become Giana Sisters after Nintendo rejected it as an official port, if that story is even true.)

I played through Twisted Dreams years and years ago
I think itâs a perfectly fine game and I would rather play it before a number of other platformers
I also think Balan Wonderworld is good

twisted dreams is decent but i strongly recommend switching to âmanual world switchâ as the default automatic setting pairs your spin/dash ability with world switch⌠it is annoying and confusing and makes the game significantly more difficult
