Brevity is an odd word to use for an approximately 35-50 hour long game.
It was an odd choice of word, but this game is at least less long winded when it comes to the cutscenes
It also didnāt really feel like I had been playing it for 60 hours, it kind of flew by
im playing games with⦠my own heart!
Oh, I played OnRush and I honestly donāt think itās very good. Itās just too sloppy and doesnāt feel great, much like Motostorm always did. Trying to ram other cars is always confusing as to what will happen and why (RIP Burnout ;_;7) and idk, maybe I just donāt like pack racing but it feels weird how much you just kind of stay in the same spot relative to everyone else? That said, itās just such a bizarre and weird idea that itās still compelling to me. Also, having super meter music was a bad idea back when SSX or whatever started it, but I was floored when it started playing The Death Set so thatās probably my video game surprise of the year.
Yeah I still wanna play this and Wreckfest but I concede I am making no effort toward doing so
Iām gonna have to play Wreckfest because Iām like the one person who likes FlatOut, but I must admit I completely forgot about it until you wrote that.
I dunno if Wreckfest still has the physics playground. But man that sure was fun, back when the game was called NextCarGame.
everyone says it really came together over the last year or so!
Aw snap, we gotta play online sometime! I love the heck out of this game. (I own six copies so I can someday force people to play with me.)
I always knew people would dislike it just for how different in concept it was to the previous games but the almost complete lack of anything outside of playing online certainly did it no favors. They keep patching in new story scenes so someone at SE must think thatās what the game really needs. The game got datamined a month ago and thereās a lot of stuff on disc, including complete text for another game mode, so I wonder what the deal was with this console port. But if youāre cool with only hopping online and playing ranked or lobbies then I think the game is a ton of fun.
seconding that ys 8 is phenomenal; it has the spirit of a gbc game that might have changed my life had it come out in 1999
minit, disappointingly, does not
ah really, whatās the issue with it? I was planning on making that my plane game
Also, a pox upon Toadās Treasure Tracker, I got more than 5000 coins on Mummy Me Forever and it didnāt give me the tick.
that must have really
TICKED YOU OFF
perfect avatar/post synchronicity
you might truck better with it than me. im anti-vlambeer generally. hit feedback and hip dialogue are no substitute for mood
ZZT4 demo is available and it is very serious and I canāt really take that stress in 2018 (as predicted). I also despite reading Japanese just ran in a circle for 30 minutes wondering what I was supposed to do and then it crashed.
Kyoei Toshi was obviously a testrun for this a lot of the tech is identical but having gravitas in your video game about a real world problem is not a good time.
iām in the same spot. i like the (literal) meme aspect of metal gear rising a lot, but i havenāt got around to playing more of it yet. i also maybe blame 04 ninja gaiden for satiating me on this genre
the mgr soundtrack is nutty though iād give that a look through one way or another
SSX 3 did this in the best possible way, in that it mixed the music you were playing differently when using super meter, so every song had its own super version. it also had a whole arc from top of run to bottom of run, plus changing for crashes and in caves etc, so it felt like a perfect little accompaniment to your unique run.
The next SSX game I played (SSX (2012)) made it so every time you used your super it played a remix of Tricky, which i assume was a throwback to SSX Tricky.
So yeah, not only did they have a bad idea, they then made the best possible version of that idea, then subsequently ruined it again.
Yeah, the low pass filter when youāre getting BIG AIR ruled. Iād love a similar system in a driving game but it might be tricky to chop up songs with the buttoned-up licensing for pop music in games now.
